Starting times may be obtained from the Golf Shop either in person or by telephone.

Members & Guests are requested to book ahead, particularly during the months of July and August. This booking allows our Golf Shop Team Members to prepare for your arrival.

Should you not require your tee time or have overbooked, please inform the Golf Shop Team Members well in advance, in order that we may reassign your time.

Starting Procedures

Please check in at the Golf Shop prior to teeing off. The Golf Shop and Tee House Team Members have the authority to control starting in any manner that will expedite orderly and enjoyable golf.

Pace of Play

  • Golf is a shared experience. Please be considerate of all golfers.
  • Nine holes of golf should be played in a maximum of 2 hours.
  • If you are not being “held up” and take longer than 1 hour to play the first 4 holes, you are playing too slowly.

The following will assist you in “Keeping Pace”:

  • Keep up with the group ahead of yours.
  • Allow a waiting group to play through if you have lost a hole to the group in front.
  • Have the low handicapper in your group take responsibility for the speed of play.
  • Tee off when you are ready and it is safe to do so.
  • Be ready to hit when it is your turn.
  • Count and mark score on the next tee.
  • Refer to the Pace of Play Par on the scorecard to judge how you and your group are doing.

Local Rules

We understand that on occasion you may find your ball in one of our beautiful gardens on the course. If this is the case you must remove your ball from the garden and drop it at the nearest point of relief that is not closer to the hole. There is no penalty for this. The penalty for beheading one of our flowers is severe.

If you should find yourself entangled in the tall grasses in our waste bunkers or your swing is impeded by the boulders in these bunkers, you are entitled to drop your ball at the nearest point of relief that is not closer to the hole. There is no penalty for this.

Should your swing or stance be interfered with by the split rail fencing around the course, you are entitled to drop your ball at the nearest point of relief that is not closer to the hole without penalty.

Liability

The Diamond 'in the Ruff' will not be responsible for the loss or theft of, or damage to, personal property on the club’s premises, whether held in storage or not.

In the last year there have been drastic increases in insurance rates. As a measure to limit these increases and increases to membership fees, we ask that all members review and sign the attached Waiver Release and Indemnity Agreement and return it to the office. Thank you for your cooperation.
